Recently had my 2017 Fiesta serviced and MOT'd at my local Ford dealer.
Afterwards I found the 2 mysterious screws on the passenger seat. Photo attached. They are spotlessly clean and given where they were found I sumise that they are internal screws rather than external ones(?)
During the service and MOT they changed the cabin filter and also adjusted the handbrake.
Have checked behind the panel that was removed during the filter check but can't see anything missing. Also removed the cup holder section of the centre dash and again nothing obvious.
I have raised the issue with the dealer who says that they are not screws removed during the work they completed and aren't even from a Ford! Their explanation is they fell out of the technicians pocket during the service and MOT and its nothing to worry about.
I think this is tosh but I would love to be proved wrong. Can anyone help identify where these screws may have come from and advise me so I can put them back.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Kind Regards
Radar

To be honest, the UK; in it's humor - is making an effort to calm your concerns and fears down.

These screws are simple trim screws and are used to hold motors - called actuators, in place while the typical cabin filter housing screws are chrome (shiny) plated and are about the same size. There are ways Ford uses to identify them for their purpose; Shiny? Means clean easy to locate - sanitary. Dull? For a hidden feature. These may have been brought into the repair by a technician to help replace screws that can fall out and into the carpet - but underneath the padding. This can make for a terrible and costly time for the service tech doing the repair to fish them out. So to save time - he just brought them along as spares to fit the ones that could have been lost during the cabinet filter change. He left them behind for you and if they are not on the receipt or cost sheet - consider them a benefit for you at a later repair in time. You now have them as spares and hopefully they didn't puncture anything or tear clothing on the passengers that ride with you.

Consider yourself fortunate; for in the US, we'd be charged by piece for them - anywhere else we go to do this type of repair ourselves.
