I recently bought my first car and I want to do some upgrades.
I have very limited knowledge and was wondering if I could get
a short shifter for my car, any help would be appreciated.

I would recommend that you do a little research on a fiesta forum in the UK. I am not aware of what was available for Fiesta at it’s release in 2008.
In America ,the best selection of accessories has generally been at the time of the release of the new model and then about three to five years after that the variety of brands and selection begins to thin out considerably.
Many people who have an interest in getting specific accessories for their particular car are inclined to wait for a while before purchasing them. Unfortunately many people don’t understand that they might be waiting too long. I have spent almost twenty years working in Ford dealership’s. My experience with Ford accessories has been that they might be in a catalog with a picture and part number, But that doesn’t mean that they are stacked up in a warehouse somewhere.
Being a vendor part adds a layer of extra complexity to getting your hands on it. Ford has tried to address this issue on at least three occasions. The second time was when they released the Ford Fiesta for “pre order” in North America in 2009.
I was one of several thousand people who went online and “pre ordered” a new 2011 Fiesta SE hatchback. In return for a pre order I got an identification number that gave me a discount on the car and free Sync and sound audio option. I only had to visit my preferred dealer, present the id number and order the vehicle. At this point I was told by my salesman that I could order the Ford accessories I desired and that they would be either direct shipped to the dealership for installation on the car when they prepare it or they will be in the boot from the assembly plant. None of that worked out or happened as planned.
I have no clue what was available to the original buyer of a UK Fiesta. But if you search the thread archives of a UK based forum for the Fiesta, you might find a discussion about that component and a part number. Good luck!
