5 speed manual transmission problem.

My 2019 fiesta s is having problems. When it is really war, from driving in rush hour traffic, it becomes hard to shift out of gear and won't go into another gear. The stick is very stiff. When the car cools down, it works fine again. I did take it on a 280 mile trip without problems, but it was not "stop and go"- was rarely out of 5th gear. Had it to one shop, they couldn't get it to act up. Last September, took it to another shop, who found the tranny with almost NO fluid. It was replaced, and they told me to bring it back in the spring. They did not find any leak. It started to happen again last week. As it was out of town, it has gone to a third shop. It was a little low on fluid, again no evidence of a leak. They will look at again tomorrow. Anyone heard of this?

How many miles on the car?
You shouldn't be losing fluid. I suspect it's leaking somewhere, even if you can't see it.
It often comes from leaking axle seals.
Change your fluid with the best synthetic you can find. I recommend Ravenol.
Then, watch for the slightest seepage. Low fluid is murder to any transmission.

Your transmission relies on a cable linkage. The hard shifting could mean that the cable is a little stretched, and needs to be adjusted.

I don't know if you're familiar with motorcycles, but most still have cables to enage the clutch. When the cable is out of whack, you get the symptoms you're describing. A motorcyclist can fix it at the clutch lever, usually. It's not that simple in a car.

Try to read this thread, this sounds like the shifter arm AT the transmission may be seized and needs some lubrication and help so you can shift gears again.

See if the shifter arm is stuck and needs to be freed up.
