To start, I absolutely love this vehicle. A 2013 Fiesta S I named Papa Jim, my first car. It's reliable, lightweight, cheap and easy to fix, and has quite a bit of suspension aftermarket support. Its the absolute bare bones model though, only option was AC. I still have crank windows in it.

My first "mod" was a new set of cleaned and painted junkyard wheels. Then came wheel spacers, lowering springs, Bilstein B8s, better brakes, Indy Firehawk tires, spoiler, tint, stock FIST exhaust, mudflaps, cold air intake, stereo, interior lights, taillights, custom shifter, etc, etc...

In America where our ECUs are locked, no base Fiesta will ever beat a Fiesta st except for one. This one. (hopefully)

I recently "purchased" a second Fiesta (I traded my pos 125cc Chinese bike for a Fiesta broken down on the side of the freeway) with the intent to AWD swap this car while doubling the hp. How you might ask? Twin engine. My plan was to remove much of the front frame area from the firewall forward from the donor car. This 231,000 mile car needs a bit of work though. I was told the clutch was bad, so I replaced it, and the noise sure as hell didn't go away so I think it needs a trans. However, I have every other part I need to complete most of the swap already. The car will have front suspension, brakes, etc., mirrored to the rear of the car. It will operate completely separately from the front motor using it's stock ECU and wiring harness. I'll have to figure out how to split signals from the 3 pedals and wheel speed sensors so the engines will operate in sync.

It doesn't seem like that hard of a swap, but I've only swapped motors in boats before so I'm not sure. I know its been done before plenty of times but never with this car. I'd love to be the first (I think) to have an AWD Fiesta.

Awesome! Mine is just flashed pcm, running race headers full cat back exhaust with manaflow muffler (no cat) and Intake. Definitely moves better than it did and still get 37mpg

Because why go ST when you can just fit a whole other engine on a 2600lbs chassis? because he can! …. imagine dumping that clutch @ 7k rpms , 1/8 mile drag races be a breeze

The best part of the project (besides having 2 engines) has got tho be that its a phase 1 fiesta kinetic. Please do not change the face of the car, its the superior fiesta.

Where did you get your flash from? What changed with it? How's throttle response with it?

Yup both are 5 speeds. The donor car's trans is toast though. Traded my 125cc Chinese motorcycle for it (broken down) on the side of the freeway.

What lowering springs are you on? What size tires? And what are your thoughts on the B8s?

Cheap eBay springs. B8's are great, very stiff compared to stock. Didn't mind spending the money on them and now it corners like a damn champ. Tire size is 205/55/r16. They rub quite a bit how it sits right now. Full turns will rub them as well as medium and harsh bumps. I also have on some quality eBay wheel spacers too (I think 25mm) which def adds to the rubbing.

Where did you get your flash from? What changed with it? How's throttle response with it?
the 1st flash from PCM tuners Atlanta , the second flash I did myself using the a file service from The Netherlands

well .. I don't have single dash light on, running cat less exhaust system with race headers, the car responds way better after 3800/4000Rpms all the way to 6500K ( and It can be flashed to rev to 7K) I just

haven had the time to do it , but is doable unleashing the full engine potential, keep in mind the added stress on the internals and the timing belt , not to mention the AFR will need to be dialed in accordingly

I posted a thread a while back "Tuning available for N/A fiestas " in the video the car revs to 7200K, there's another forum the owner claims 133.8wHP , but his car also had spark enhancer, one step colder plugs from brisk racing and a NEO piggy back (standalone) and something else, I don't remember.

to me the biggest draw back is the close gear ratios , hindering the cars power ,I wish second and third where longer, other than that is fun to drive .

A better suspension , clutch and trans mount would definitely improve over all performance, but until they are due for service I won't touch em

I really feel this at stock power especially. Really hoping two engines will help me overcome this. Second gear is 100% my favorite gear but I'm hoping to get some more low down torque in 3rd.

If second gear could hit 60mph and at least 90mph in third, it would be more balanced car imo, 4th gear is the longest one I can hit 118/120 and 5th its just useless lmao

the final is so crappy :LOL:

What do you guys think about this transmission noise? I bought the doner car with this noise and thought it just needed a clutch job. Clutch came out in a million pieces leading me to think there might be a deeper issue. Put everything back together with the new clutch and that's the first start on video. Started it in neutral and the axle still spins so I'm not sure whats going on but I think the trans is scrap metal at this point.

My theory would be that the gear part of the gearbox must have grenaded and destroyed 1 or more gears as well as the shifting mechanism. Although you selected neutral the gearbox probably didnt shift into it and rather stayed in a grenaded gear which spun the axle... The only way to check is to disassemble everything and see it with your own eyes. I bet you will need a new gearbox, but there might be a chance that the damage didnt affect all of the gears and its just a matter of finding replacement parts for whichever gears exploded and the shifting mechanism.

I did notice that the reverse light sensor was broken. Looked like the crimp around the plastic sensor body cracked and came apart. Seemed like fluid had been leaking from that port for some time. That might also have to do with it.
