Hello community,

I'm brand new to owning a Fiesta. I just got into a used 4 door hatchback SE 5 speed with 135000km (84000 yanky-miles).

So far I'm very happy with it and hope to learn from all of you! A long time ago I owned and worked on a Geo Metro, so I'm familiar with small cars. Hopefully I'll have something to contribute here soon!

Car looks in good shape. The Fiesta is a surprisingly nice car to drive. You should be comfortable in it, its got more amenities than the Metro. Not a bad car to work on either considering its size.

Welcome! You dodged a bullet with the manual. It should serve you well. Solid little car that's fun to drive.
I owned a 1.0 Metro for over a decade. They aren't fast cars, but it ran like new when I ditched it for my ST. Tough little car that people didn't expect to be durable, but it was Suzuki's design, and they make durable cars and motorcycles.
If you haven't changed the transmission fluid, do that. Use full synthetic.

I’ll check the trans fluid soon. Is it possible to recognize synthetic versus non by a simple test or observation?

RED line MT90 you can get two for what you would spend of one quart of OEM motorcraft fluid (XTM5QS) and yes is full synthetic

What is the official name of this colour? I’ve been calling it notpink but there’s got to be something cooler sounding.
