I know that they were available from Ford as an accessory and also from Steeda performance. I don’t believe that either of them are being offered anymore. The hay day for the basic Fiesta and availability of those kinds of upgrades ended within a year of the introduction of the Fiesta ST.
IF the short shifter is for speed shifting - you still get that lag in between shift points (rev match excluded) so the "wait" and the amount of torque you have applied - is different than the atypical throw shifter.
The short shift does not do well in ALL 5-speed trannys - for the rotation of the shift gimbals in some shifters is different.
IT depends on the type of pivot "plate" you have - the symmetrical gimbal design or the newer offset type - the offset type where the gimbals are all to one side of the pivot point - that can't take the short shift concept very well. It certainly will let you know it doesn't like it.
