He stated it's totaled. The fire was caused by some vehicle on the highway that apparently caught fire and ended stopping next to his parked car.

It would be interesting to see the repair estimate. My guess is the side curtain airbags and rh seat airbags are what pushed the repair cost over the limit. Even a loaded ST is just a "dixie cup car" to insurance companies! In ten years an unwrecked/unmolested ST fiesta will be a rare sight!
