You have to determine what the oil or fluid is. Motor oil or gearbox lube. It could also be a compressor oil leak from an A/C line connection or the compressor itself. Cross your fingers that it's not a crankshaft seal. The rear seal requires the transmission be removed. The front seal would be less trouble but still calls for all drive belts and the camshaft belt or chain and then the damper pulley. If it's the front seal, you should seriously consider replacement of the water pump, timing chain/ belt and tensioners. Because those are consumable parts and will eventually need replacing.
