Hi,
I've been trying for a month or two to get to the bottom of a turbo issue in my mk7 1.6tdci. Powertrain and check engine lights come on intermittently although with increasing frequency recently. Ive tried quite a few fuel additives like archoil and also the air intake sprays. Replaced the maf sensor to no avail. I drive on motorway every day with high revs so very little lugging on engine. Scan tool shows turbocharger signal above allowable range.

Today i had a look and found a loose connection and a split hose but cant for the life of me find where they fit. Can anyone help?

Thanks

Oh, man. Not good. I'd try around some of the UK-based forums and maybe you can look at someone else's FiST and see what it's supposed to look like, then do the same.

If there are relays and stuff that aren't plugged in, or are just missing, you're going to get a lot of codes. Check your boost hoses. If any are split or not tight, you will again have problems. They deteriorate with age, so maybe some new ones are in order. Again, if you can find another car to look at as a guide, you might be able to get it all right without spending too much money.
