Key not found...

Drove in the driveway just now and this fell out on my right thigh. Now the car cannot find a key and it won't start. Related to the ignition switch, but I don't know if that is actually where this lives. Before I tear into the underbelly of the steering column...any ideas where this plugs in?

Found it! It's the board inside the key fob. Just need to glue the cover back on.

Whew, for those "orange buttons" made me think they've found a way to clone your fob and left it behind when they saw you arrive. Glad you have this one figured out.

Surprised to know that the fob is required but glad to know you got it back together.

Is the Battery OK?

Yeah...battery was fine but plugged a new one in, anyway. As a precaution, I lightly glued the board back in place. My fear is this could have happened in a parking lot and I could have lost the card. So now, even if the case comes loose again, I shouldn't lose the card.
