I am slowly putting performance upgrades on my 2015 fiesta hatchback. Any suggestions?

A low restriction air filter panel and a smooth upper intake tube is the best upgrade for the money. Lightweight wheels, around 12 lbs each, also make a very noticeable difference in both handling and acceleration. Post some pics and welcome to the forum!

I will be installing a cold air intake from K&N soon. What is this air filter panel you speak of and smooth air intake tube. I'm just learning how to do all this stuff.

Hi, Todd. I liked the #33-2955 replacement element. It cost about fifty bucks u.s. I am aware of the K&N conical type filter that came with the intake tube. That one is #63-2587. I had initially purchased this filter and tube assembly. But I didn't care for the open filter element design.
At the time I had just recently spent considerable time and effort to make a ducted/vented hood to reduce the under hood temperatures. I also had wrapped the intake the intake tube in heat reflective material and it seemed very counter intuitive to draw the heated engine compartment air through the insulated tube.
At that time, there was still a fair amount of hope that the aftermarket was going to have a reflash or chip for the PCM. So, I was thinking ahead to make preparation for future upgrades that never happened.
I would have loved that conical type filter if it had been located in the cavity behind bumper and wheel splash apron. It was just the high temperature position of the filter that turned me off.
The other issue with the conical filter is the difficulty of cleaning it. The flat panel type is much easier to set in a pan for cleaning and re-oiling.
The conical type does flow much better I have one on my race car. But, the location of it and the lack of hope for other upgrades rendered the extra cost kinda pointless to me.
One upgrade that's good for ANY Fiesta is to use a high quality motor oil and filter.
Good luck with your efforts and post pictures of them.
