Hello everyone. I bought a 2014 Ford Fiesta S model yesterday for $10.5 K with 50 miles on the odometer. The funny thing is my 2002 Mazda Prot?g? 5 had broken down the day before and I bought the Fiesta S somewhat on impulse, since I commute 100 miles / day round trip and I didn't have time this weekend to figure out was wrong with my P5 this time (likely a fuel pump failure, among many other issues). The price, however was too good to pass up, lower than anything I had seen even for the 2012/2011 models, so I jumped on it.
So now that I'm in the Fiesta camp with the base model, I'd like to run a few questions by some of the forum members. First off, the S model is lacking power windows and cruise control. What are my options for upgrading. I know the power windows are likely an expensive option, so I'm willing to forego those, but the cruise control is a must for my commute, since I can't Pulse and Glide my way down the Alaska highways without angering people. I know you can install aftermarket cruise kits, but it sounds complicated. Would buying and installing a steering wheel with the integrated cruise control module be an option for me. Something like this 2014 Fiesta ST steering wheel up for sale on Ebay?
Finally with a commute of 100 miles daily I'm looking for any options/mods to get my MPG up as high as possible. Any guidance is appreciated.
