Hazard Light Switch

Hi Group
I am new to the forum so please excuse me if I am in the wrong section.
I have a 2009 Ford Titanian
I am due an MOT shortly. I have noticed that my Hazard light switch does not activate the hazard lights unless I push the switch in quite hard and hold it for a second or so.
If I do this the hazard lights will come on and flash correctly.

Will this fail an MOT test?
and is there any way to sort this out with a contact cleaner?

Not sure what the rules are in the UK, but yeah, I'd try to clean it up. Probably just a little crud got in there.

Sounds like you need a new switch. You can try taking it out to try the contact cleaner....nothing to lose, really. Blow it out real good with a can of compressed air.
