Greetings! Having occasional trouble shifting

Hi all, nice to join. I’ve got a 2014 Fiesta sedan 5 speed, 125,000 miles, still think of it as my new car! Sometimes I have a rough time shifting, especially from reverse to first, I have had to shut the engine off because even with the clutch pushed in the car continues to go. I took it to the dealership & they said it was fine And it usually is. I don’t know enough about mechanics to do any adjustments, anyone else had this happen?

I'd try adjusting the cable.
Accord to the directions I'm seeing it like this
1) put in Neutral
2) parking brake applied
3) remove clip,make sure cable moves freely
4) put into 4th gear
5) push clip back into place.
