Fuel Light on at 1/4 full

Hi,
Daughter has a 58 plate MK6 fiesta and the fuel light comes on at 1/4 (not hitting the red). Any ideas or solutions for this?
Wouldn't normally worry about it but don't want her running out of fuel thinking the light coming on is an error :(
