- Ford Fiesta 2018
Hi all,
I've got a Ford Fiesta 2018 and I have been running against an issue that is a nuisance to say the least. I hope some of you can guide me in the right direction here.
The car has Android Auto capability. However, when I connect my phone through a cable, it briefly connects with the car, and then the data connection is interrupted and the AA feature is closed. This is a nuisance, to say the least. Apple Car Play (Iphone) works fine, but I don't have an Iphone. Interior is similar to stock photo below. I've tried the following things:
- Try a different cable (from USB port to phone). I have tried several, short / long, low / high data capacity. Does not improve performance.
- Try a wireless dongle that connects through bluetooth. Still drops out regularly.
- Update car through wifi, and a USB update.
Next step would be to replace the USB cable connecting the dashboard console and the USB port, but I can't find any method to do so on the internet. Does anyone have any advice?
Have a nice day,
Tom
