I recently fitted the LED DRL headlight housing to my car but I'm getting 2 drl codes in the BCMII (one either side) and the DRL is lit fairly dimly, can anyone help, thanks
Just for reference those aren't pictures of my car, they are pictures of what my car used to have and what it has now, also I have since found a fix for my issue, also im not sure the LED drl headlights are available in the states, I may be wrong
Yeah. These cars aren't nearly as popular here as in Europe, and it shows. We don't (and won't) get the Mk8.
The US requires a yellow side marker light, and our lights are cheap because Fiestas have to be cheap and are considered cheap cars.
I've had people ridicule me when I told them I drive one. They stop laughing when I give them a ride, though. The ST is quick, and easy to make really quick.
US drivers have to tweak their wiring a bit to get the DRLs to work, but it's a straight fit. It's just really expensive. They look awesome, though.
I didn't do that. I did the LED low beams I linked above.
Cool as they are, I won't spend $800 for those headlights. I can get a custom tune or a sweet exhaust for that much money.
If you go on the the ST forum, some guys have done it, but I didn't pay much attention. Too rich for my blood.
They got them to work, though. They do look amazing.
No cop in the world is going to notice or care that you don't have front side marker lights.
Went back to the Faction site and even caught a Ford Video on the DRLS feature - but it has to be enabled first so SYNC can see it and throw it up on a menu as an option.
So as of right now a J2534 programmer is kinda out of the question ($$$) so I'll keep plugging along. (Forscan)
I like powerful driving lamps. But, $800 headlights that i would have to assemble is just too much $$$.
A pair of Hella Rallye 4000 LED 1,500 lumens driving lights are around $700 plus the harness.
They only draw 11 watts. But their output is like a flamethrower. Children cry for their mothers and Vampires recoil and evaporate when you flick the switch on em! That's what $800 bucks worth of lights has to give me in return.
Most of the time, werewolves are in their human form. These lights are so bright, that if you drive by a werewolf in human form, they'll think it's a full moon and turn into wolf form and immediately attack anyone near them.
Be careful.
