CP-E intercooler question

Hi, I’m looking at buying the CPE intercooler for my 2017 but there’s two options: the normal chrome one and the black “dissipate” version. The black one is $100 more expensive so I figure it must be more than just a different color, but I haven’t been able to find any info on it. Does anyone know what the difference is?

According to this, unpainted is better. My mountune only comes in black, and I like how it looks. Either way, a bigger intercooler is certainly going to cool the air better than the stock one.

Yes...unpainted is better. In the racing world....a big difference. On the street...it's nill.
