Hi

my air intake pipe on my 2006 model keeps coming out of its housing. I’m pretty certain that it’s because the small fixing lugs have worn down.
without my having to buy a new pipe I’m wondering what the best method of securing it in place is ? I’m thinking silicone. Cable ties or jubilee clip wouldn’t work. Thanks IMG_1480.jpeg

Can we see a larger region of that inlet housing?

The thinking here is torque is somehow forcing this hose off. Is it shaking on the motor mounts so the hose simply vibrates loose? Or something where there is a larger volume of air of back-pressure that forces this coupling to fail?

It would be interesting to see that "inner chamber" where the air filter rests so we can get an idea on how to apply some type of clip fastener or a tab to twist using a bolt or wing nut to hold the inlet hose.

Form a groove into the housing and form a right angle notch and dimple to seat the bolt and use the wing nut to hold it fast.
