About to order a new Ford Fiesta but have a question

Hi all

I will soon be placing an order for a New Fiesta and fancied an Auto to save my arthritic knee.

There is not much info available on the Ford website, so what are the latest Auto boxes like

Are they reliable

Do they still make a heavy hit on fuel consumption or are modern auto boxes better than the older boxes, The last Auto I owned was in a Mk4 2Ltr Cortina

Whats the best engine size and fuel type to match with an Auto box. Was thinking of going diesel but with the soon to be imposed green tax I am not so sure now.

The regular Fiesta with the 1.0 liter Ecoboost or the1.6 liter with the automatic transmission is fairly reliable these days.
