Hi! I’m hoping someone can shine some light on my issue and give me advice before I scream lol. I just bought my car less than a month ago and it started out my radio was extremely static and would pop.. now it doesn’t work. My car alarm is going off randomly all hours of the day and night for no reason. Plus it keeps sayin on my dash that the hood is open and the door lights on the dash stays on and they are all shut. I changed the battery already and changed the key fob battery.. I’m lost.. the dealership won’t help me without charging me an arm and a leg for something I literally just bought from them. Please help I’m done with this and I love this car.

IT sounds like you have a dealership that won't take responsibility for their actions - or inaction.

Laws vary by state, but if the dealership left the car out to get vandalized and you were in the process of buying it - this may explain their unwillingness to help - because this is a problem that insurance may have to take care of - but whose insurance and how long ago did the problem occur - so it may be too late for recourse in some states.

More than likely the wiring is damaged - somewhere, and the dealership didn't fix the car BEFORE your bought it.

To them - the car becomes more valuable for resale if the issue was corrected by them versus the price you negotiated with them buying it as-is in the current condition they did not disclose hidden damages and they now expect you to pay.

Hate to say this but this may be a Caveat Emptor! moment.

This does not fix the problem you currently have, but to move forward - you will have to be willing to release the dealership from liability - because when you decide to fix this - by other shops or yourself - your ability to exercise warranty and or any form of litigation will have to be considered - this vehicle will have to be inspected by a separate independent shop to clear anyone of any wrongdoing and just show what needs to be done to correct the condition.

We on the forums can only advise you for recent purchases can lead you down a very expen$ive rabbit hole we can't get you out of - easily.
