2015 SE Trunk Water Leak?!

I noticed a pool of water in the spare tire well in the trunk of my 2015 Ford Fiesta SE. This is the second time it's happened. The first time I wasn't the one that discovered it so I assumed maybe someone spilled some liquid but the second time, I know for a fact that somehow water got in through a leak. The question is, is this a known problem on the Fiestas? Any ideas on where the leak might be coming from? I have a theory that it might be from the bottom as there is a small hole in the seal of the vehicle but if that's the case, then water should be able drain out. I haven't found any wet spots anywhere else or clues that it might be dripping from the top.

I've read about it happening on the ST forum. Do you have a sunroof?

No sunroof. It's just a standard hatchback.

Check your tail lights. Ford used tape there, and it gets old and leaks.

I gotta do that this weekend, lots of old tape wearing thin and letting trickles of water into the trunk
