Ford fiesta titanium 2011

Hi!
I have been having some issues with the stereo in my car. I have a 2011 titanium which when I bought it has a Sony stereo.
About 5 months ago the stereo buttons became very intermittent everything worked on it (the radio, cd player, aux etc) it was just the buttons but the buttons have completely stopped working all together
I have been to a couple of places asking for advise but no one seems to be able to help me
I would like to know what this sounds like for example if I just need to replace the fascia or I need to look more in to it that? Fuses etc. or if there is a way to fit something completely different for example like a touch screen display or is nothing compatible with this car?
Anyone help would be very very appreciated. Thank you!

The console buttons - there were (AT-LEAST) the two types, each one is proprietary (specific) to the type of stereo amp and interface it used.

One is your SONY which uses the same connector as FORD SYNC (Microsoft-based software but SONY amp) but the keypads were different. The other is also a SONY but is not compatible between both systems - the one on the RIGHT is the one that looks like our Current Fiesta (2012-2019 USA)

The problem is not the connector side- but the controller side - the amp and it's required wiring pinout may be different.

The front panel or fascia may be faulty but to know that requires to obtain another one from a junkyard or third party supplier (eBay - UGH!) to verify. However - even then the Audio head unit (that amp inside the box behind the fascia) may have failed and it may not be the keypad, but the translation matrix (best word) that the keypad fascia is a part of - has quit working being it's in the AMP or in the SYNC unit support for it.
