2009 fiesta seatbelt warning light keeps beeping tho seat belt is plugged in!!

please anyone know what I can do to fix my 09 fiesta??
the seatbelt warning light flashes and chimes constantly while I'm driving, I have my seatbelt plugged in tho, if I have a passenger theirs is also plugged in tho it still does it!! im starting to put off driving atm cause the headache 🤯
