Recently my dps6 took a shit and figured now would be the best time to do a manual swap. It’s hard to find videos of anything for the fiesta. I have found a playlist for the focus but it differs a bit. I picked up an ib5 from a local salvage yard and will be rebuilding it soon. I am trying to figure out a list of every nut, bolt and part I will need that differs from the at. If anyone could point me in the right direction I would really appreciate it! Thank you

I would get an entire wrecked fiesta, or a manual transmission fiesta that has a bad engine and then start taking the transmission and drive axles, the engine harness and sensors from the mt fiesta. The shifter frame and cables, probably the instrument cluster. Possibly could unbolt the a/c compressor and leave it in the body shell.
It is doable. But the pcm and the cluster would have to be connected to FORSCAN to edit the as built menu. Possibly some other issues with the car recognizing the difference between a stick and auto transaxle.
It would be a big job. But, so is making payments for three years. I would certainly be interested in doing that if a manual transmission fiesta with the right damage and in otherwise good mechanical condition were to become available.

The "bolt on part" will need a few changes, hope you've been reading some recent threads, up to and including a Manual / Auto Swap previously done - but with two different cars and they already had the VIN setups to handle the motor from the Auto to fit into the Manual - but the Bell housing needs a new insert to change the location of the CKP sensor - due to the fact that the Flex plate from the Auto and the Flywheel plate for the Clutch on the Manual - have two different "magnet" locations for TDC.

It's the engines bells housing side so that side is one you'll have to make the design change to - that side will have the CKP sensor and you will have to change that insert in order for the new tranny and it's plate(s) to work with the older motor.

Else the Auto "delete" is pretty straightforward but Forscan or a J2534-type of FORD performance diagnostic tools will need to be used on the DTC connector for it or them, to coerce the PCM to accept the new changes and work like a Manual - the EGR system in the Auto will or should go disabled and you can just keep it in there. Because it will still qualify as a LEV (Low Emission Vehicle) by displacement - so the EGR on Manuals is not needed..

It’s been a minute since I’ve been in this thread. Well that mt I bought was crap and ended up getting the money back for it. All this time later I just won a salvaged vehicle through Copart. 2012 fiesta s with the manual. I will be swapping everything out of it into mine. @scotman I figured after everything said and done this was the best bet. I will be posting updates on here and just want to say thank you to you guys that put your 2cents in on here. I appreciate it and can’t wait to finally get this car back on the road!

Well here’s an update on it. I picked the car up Tuesday & did the swap when I made it back and yesterday. Everything moved over pretty easy. Ended removing the whole front bumper/radiator support where it bolts to the frame. Kept the cv’s in and dropped the control arm out of the knuckle and was able to pick and move the engine and transmission together with no issues. Gotta figure out the 2 connectors on the clutch pedal and the one on the transmission. Oh ya and I decided to drop the hydraulic clutch hose retainer clip down into the frame haha. Fml. Also, need to swap bcm’s, lock cylinders in doors, ignition cylinder, and whatever other miscellaneous things that are in better condition than what I have at the moment. I need to figure out where the rf hub for the remote keyless entry is at as well. I eventually would like to upgrade to proximity entry and push/remote start but that’ll be a ways out.
If anyone has a lead on a thread I can find wiring diagrams for both the 2012 “se automatic” and the “s sedan manual” would be greatly appreciated. I need to figure out the those connectors and where they pin out to either the bcm or pcm. Thank you guys!

Drove the car to work today. Figured out the wiring for the reverse light switch and clutch position sensor. Abs, traction control and the hill start assist lights are all on. Have to throw the code reader on it and forscan. Good little project, was fun, a headache, but very rewarding.

Ok another small update. The tcs, abs, hill start assist lights all were due to the abs module. Reprogrammed it to the donor vehicle as built data and all went away. No check engine lights whatsoever, so I feel very lucky
to find the needle in a haystack. Took a gamble with buying the car from a salvage auction but this gamble paid off.

Heated seats and cruise control does not work but I’m sure it’s due to the fact the donor vehicle didn’t have it and with swapping bcm’s I’m sure this is where the issue is. Now I’ll look into seeing if I can program the donor bcm to see if I can’t “turn on” these settings. If not I guess I’ll be living without it.

I’m now stripping down sensors, nuts, bolts, airbags and whatever other parts I can see value in that I can try to sell on eBay or just save for a rainy day.
